Identify Your Meyer Headlights |

|
There has been considerable confusion over the older Meyer Snowplow Headlights. They actually had two older kits that appear to be identical but in fact are quite different and can NOT interchange. The following should clear this up.
These older style of headlights (featured a "Wrap Around" turn signal lens as shown below) had two different wiring configurations. The original kit was a P/N: 07969. This kit used a 5- lead harness although the plug ends looked like a six prong. The sixth plug was NOT wired and is easily mistaken for the newer harness. The easiest way to tell the difference is the Headlight switch was a 6-prong switch. It also was “Hardwired” into the trucks main headlight harness, therefore, it required no adapter.
This kit is still available in an aftermarket version under the same P/N of 07969. It can not be used on trucks with a "Negative" to excite headlight system. New Body Style GM trucks from 99 & newer & 99 Dodge & newer can NOT use this kit. Newer Fords from 2005 and newer can Not use this kit either.
The later version of this style light was a P/N 07033 and used a six-prong harness on the headlight lead and a TWELVE-prong headlight switch. It also uses over 10 different special adapters to plug into the back of the various truck headlights. This kit is no longer available from Meyer.
The current production lights carry a P/N of 07234 and are called "Night Saber". This light kit also requires over 10 different adapters to fit the various truck headlight systems. The replacement main harness comes in 4 different pieces consisting of 2pc of P/N 07117 and 2 pcs of 07118.Password The control module is P/N 07113. The headlight switch for this kit is a 3-prong switch – P/N 07119.
Although we are confident of the accuracy of this information, CPW reserves the right to modify it’s wording as new information becomes available.
